Service FAQ
Check supported files and languages, choose a translation mode, and understand reading, downloads, and payment before you start.
SEKA is an AI translation and reading platform for books, novels, and long documents. Readers can translate material they want to read; authors and content teams can prepare translations for review or create Collab Projects for readers to join. You can read translations in SEKA and share notes in Hub.
You can upload TXT, EPUB, and PDF files, up to 50 MB each. Use a complete, readable source file and check the parsed details before continuing. The upload control shows the formats currently available.
File preparation guideChoose from the target languages listed below. Each private translation task uses one target language; check your selection in Translation Settings before paying.
Full-book translation: pay once for the whole book, then start reading when the full translation is complete.
Read as You Translate: when available for your task, pay for the first section and start reading when it is ready. To translate more, review and confirm the Credits shown in the reader. This first payment does not buy the whole book. With either mode, downloads become available only after the full book is translated.
A glossary records your preferred translations for recurring names, places, and specialist terms. Auto-extraction creates an editable draft: review it, save it, and select the glossary for your task. Extraction may use Credits; review the cost shown before confirming that operation.
A translation style guides tone, narrative voice, and wording. Choose a preset or a saved custom style before starting. These settings are optional, so you can keep the defaults. A saved glossary or style must be selected for the task; saving it does not automatically apply it to later tasks.
Glossary preparation guideTranslation style guideOn desktop, open Creator Studio → Translations and select your task to read it in SEKA. Full-book translations are readable when complete; Read as You Translate opens the reader after the first section is ready. Once the whole book is translated, use Download on the private translation task.
Download options depend on the source file and the files ready for your task: original-plus-translation TXT, translated-only TXT, and a translated EPUB or PDF where available for that source. A translated PDF may still be generating after the text is ready; check the download panel for its status.
Collab Projects provide reading access in SEKA and do not offer translation downloads.
After uploading and parsing your file, check the target language, optional settings, and Translation Mode & Pricing. The page shows the Credits for your selected mode. Choose Review & Pay, check the title, language, and Credits in the confirmation dialog, then confirm payment to start.
For Read as You Translate, the initial amount covers the first section. The reader shows the additional Credits before you confirm further translation. Use the quote for your actual file and selection rather than a fixed price per word count.
For a private translation, you pay for your own task and can download available files after the full translation is complete. In a Collab Project, a creator submits language versions for review and publication, and readers join the version they want. Participation and reading access are handled separately for each language. Check that version’s current terms before joining; Collab Projects do not provide downloads.
Timing depends on file length, the selected language and settings, and current processing workload. SEKA shows progress after the task starts.
Full-book mode waits for the whole translation; Read as You Translate opens the reader when the first section is ready. Check your task or reader for the current status.
Available modes, Credits, and download options depend on your actual task. Review the details shown before confirming payment.
